The border challenge

So... one day, when he was already living in San Diego, we decided to spend a day in TJ, so I will pick him up from the border in MX side, he call an Uber and drop him at the border, but not just at the border, apparently the driver took him to a wrong street and basically drooped him in the middle of the freeway... yup... so he had to run across the freeway... just as the sign says... yup... this really happen...

Anyway, he got safely across to the sidewalk and he walked towards Mexico... I have to add that his passport was on my purse (oopsy!) and remember that I was going to pick him up in MX side...

If you have ever crossed by foot you will know that on Mexico side (SRE) they NEVER ask you for papers or passport... but guess what?! it was his first time crossing alone and he look so nervous that the SRE agents saw him very suspicious and ask him for documents 🀦he obviously didn't had his passport with him, since it was in my purse... πŸ˜…

So he was detained for 30 minutes while they (SRE) found someone to speak English to him and him tried his few words in Spanish to explain the situation... LOL

He was let go after and I pick him up... he was super upset and mad (I don't even know why LOL)... after taking him for tacos de Birria he was feeling better and we had a little smile after all... πŸ˜†

I have to add that couple weeks from that we crossed again by foot, this time together and nobody even look at us LOL...

Insight

To start I will like you to know a little more about this blog, my Boyfriend is a lovely sweet one of the kind guy... with a big heart full of love and good intentions... although he has this "trend" to face countless challenging situations...

Is those type of moments that you don't know if you should cry, scream, laugh or just ran away... :)

I'm the positive type of person that always see the good side of anything, and he is not that positive in these situations (for obvious reasons)... so I told him that eventually he will like to remember the stories and he will totally laugh about it... it will be like those drunk stories from your 20s... eventho in our case it will be 20s+10 LOL..

Also because we would like to remember all this when we are old and our memory gets crappy-er... I see it as the Notebook of "all the things that could go wrong in our fairy tale" LOL...
